HOW TO GET THERE |
|
There are so many options open to potential visitors to Davao del Sur. If you are from any foreign country, the most advisable entry point is Manila. From there you can either take the daily flights to Davao City, General Santos City or Cotabato City. However, it is more convenient to take the Davao City-bound planes. For flight schedules and fares, you may contact your individual travel agents. Aside from airplanes, one can also reach Davao del Sur via the Pan-Philippine Highway, which is being serviced by the Philippine Transport Corporation from Pasay City in Metro Manila to Davao City. There are also commercial shipping companies from and to Manila which service the General Santos route, the Davao City route and the Cotabato City route via the Polloc Port in Parang, Maguindanao. However, it is always convenient to take the Davao City route. From either of the entry points, Davao del Sur can be reached via passenger buses, public utility jeeps or vans, which can be had from car rental agencies. To get to the different towns in Davao del Sur, buses, jeepneys are available until about 7 in the evening.
